Artist's Description
Greta Oto, also known as a Glass Winged Butterfly, photographed at Magic Wings Butterfly Conservatory in South Deerfield, MA. Found in Central and northern regions of South America with sightings as far north as Texas and as far south as Chile. I must admit, in spite of the lack of fancy coloration, this is one of my favorite butterflies. It seems so delicate, but, in reality, it's capable of lifting up to 40 times its weight and participates in very long migrations.

About Susan Lafleur
Welcome to Susan Lafleur's eclectic art gallery! Browse and enjoy! Feel free to comment if the mood hits. First things first - the Fine Art America watermark will not show up on any purchased and printed image! The artist was educated at Boston University School for the Arts. Much of the work is focused in New England, but a love of travel has produced artwork and photographs from around the world. After many years of working with computers for a living, Susan has learned to appreciate them as a tool for creating art. Much of the work seen here has been created or enhanced using various computer programs.
